House rules

Two small houses in a residential building, with neighbours who live here all year. These are the few things we ask of every guest.

Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in: from 15:00
  • Check-out: until 11:00
  • Earlier arrival or later departure: ask us, and we will say what is possible for your dates

Arrival and self check-in

You let yourself in. Before you arrive we send you a short video showing exactly how to reach the building and open your room, by WhatsApp, iMessage or SMS. Nobody has to be there to meet you.

That means you can arrive at any hour from 15:00 onwards, including after midnight. A late train or a delayed flight changes nothing: the instructions work at any time of night.

So that the video reaches you in time, please leave us a phone number that works abroad, and tell us roughly when you expect to arrive.

ID at arrival

Italian law requires accommodation to register every guest with the police within 24 hours of arrival. Please bring a passport or ID card for each person staying, children included. We record only what the law asks for.

In the house

  • No smoking anywhere indoors
  • Only the guests on the booking may stay overnight
  • No parties or events
  • Please keep noise down between 22:00 and 08:00 — the flats around us are homes
  • Take the key with you when you go out, and leave it as the arrival instructions explain when you check out

Breakfast

Breakfast is not included in the room price. It costs €7 per person, per day, and you can add it when you arrive — there is no need to decide when you book.

It is served at a café a short walk from the house. Guests of Guest House Laocoonte go to DA’VINO, from 7:30 to 11:00. Guests of Guest House Perseo go to Coffee Time 49, from 7:00 to 11:00.

Getting into the building

If steps, lifts or the width of a doorway matter to you, ask us before you book. We will tell you exactly what the building is like, and you can decide from that. We would rather answer the question than have you find out on the day.

Children

Children under 3 stay free when they sleep in their parents’ bed. From 3 years old a child counts as a guest, so please include them in the number of guests when you book — the room has to be big enough for everyone sleeping in it.

Pets

We are not able to accept pets, in either house. If you are travelling with an animal, it is better to know now than at the door.
