What time is check-in? What if I arrive late at night?
Check-in is from 15:00, check-out until 11:00. You let yourself in: before you arrive we send a short video showing how to reach the building and open your room, by WhatsApp, iMessage or SMS.
So any hour after 15:00 is fine, including the middle of the night. A delayed train or flight changes nothing. Please tell us a phone number that works abroad and roughly when you expect to arrive.

How do I get here from the airport?
From Fiumicino: the Leonardo Express to Termini, then metro line A towards Battistini, off at Cipro. From Ciampino: a bus to Anagnina or Termini, then the same line A to Cipro. From Termini it is about 15 to 20 minutes.
A private transfer can be arranged if you prefer. Write it in the notes field when you book and we will confirm the price before you arrive.
How far is the Vatican? What is the difference between the two houses?
Both houses are a short walk from the Vatican Museums and from Cipro station on metro line A. Perseo, on Via Cipro, is the closer of the two to the station; Laocoonte is a few minutes further, past Piazzale degli Eroi. Every room in both houses has its own bathroom, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Is breakfast included?
No — it is not part of the room price. It costs €7 per person per day and you can ask for it after you arrive; there is nothing to decide when you book. It is served at a café a moment’s walk away.

Is there anything to pay beyond the room price?
Only Rome’s city tax, paid on arrival. It is €5.00 per person per night for the first ten consecutive nights; from the eleventh there is nothing to pay, and children under ten are exempt. Cash is easiest, but a card works too.
There is no booking fee, card fee or service charge on this site. The price you see for your dates is what you pay us.

Can I cancel?
Free until 24:00 Rome time three days before the day you arrive. After that, and on the day itself, the first night is charged and the rest is refunded. The deadline is judged by the clock in Rome, not where you are.
To cancel or change dates, write to us with your booking number, by email or WhatsApp. We answer the same day.

When and how do I pay?
The full stay is paid by card in euro when you book. Stripe handles the card; neither the houses nor this site ever sees or stores your card number. Your booking is confirmed the moment the payment goes through, and the confirmation email arrives straight away.

Can I bring children? What about pets?
Children under three stay free when they share a bed with a parent. From three years old they count towards the number of guests, so please include them when you book — a room’s capacity counts everyone sleeping in it.
Pets, unfortunately, cannot be accommodated at either house. Better to know now than at the door.

Do I need to bring anything on arrival?
A passport or ID card for everyone staying, children included. Italian law requires accommodation to report every guest to the police within 24 hours of arrival. We record only what the law asks for.

Are there stairs? Is there a lift?
Ask us before you book. Steps, lifts, doorway widths — we will describe the buildings as they actually are, so you can decide with the real picture. Finding out on the day is the one outcome worth avoiding.
